I feel as at home on the public-facing side as I do on the under-appreciated back-end. Throughout my career I have been involved in the design of several full-scale platforms, and I continually update the look and usability of Telescope's Connect Live. Various screens and iterations of Connect appear below.
Galileo's proposed social moderation section, in which users would curate posts from various social networks around topics of their choosing. An advanced interface with numerous options.
A version of Connect's social moderation. Interface focused on selecting Tweets/ SMS messages / Facebook comments to promote to on-air. Layers of approval were incorporated.
Annotated wireframes of how Connect and Galileo voting would sync up.
The dashboard from which Connect's various social applications would be controlled. A centralized timeline would control the aspects of each (e.g. at 10 pm, the social stream will switch from #Finalists to #TalkAboutResults).
Galileo, a simplified version of Connect that pairs with our Social Poll application, received a great deal of usability attention. The goal was to create an interface requiring little training that could communicate a user's edits immediately and would pare down the amount of options tied to the full Connect interface.
